Development in full swing...

Work on the new mission system is almost complete. Since the topics of map upgrades, commands and tactics, and the mission system are closely interwoven, the next update will take a little longer to arrive. However, it’s already shaping up to be a substantial update, and the features being introduced will bring the game significantly closer to the state of the full version. :)

Since the topics of commands and tactics, as well as the new booster packs, require new card graphics, I decided to revise the current card design and, based on that, create the design for the mission boosters. The existing boosters will also receive new artwork. At this point, however, the biggest milestone has already been achieved — the design for the new cards is complete.

Steam Page is live!

Frontline Protocol is now on Steam - wishlist it and join the Playtest! The playable version is being unlocked continuously for new testers, so check back often for access.

Looking Back

For everyone who doesn’t follow me yet on Steam, Twitter, or IndieDB, I’d like to briefly summarize the past few months of development here.

Already in early July, a big update was released that brought the first helicopters units into the gameplay :) A total of 15 new units, all helis, made it into the game. This now offers a wide variety ranging from light to medium and even heavy helicopters.

The second major patch was the Foundation Update (v0.4.10.45) on Sep 03, 2025. Alongside many important bug fixes, improvements, and UI extensions, the very first optional tutorial map was added to the game. This should now make it easier for less experienced players to get started.
