Card Types in Frontline Protocol - Units, Actions, Structures & Towers
Unit Cards
Infantry, Vehicles, Tanks - Automatically Engaged in Battle
Unit cards are the core of your offensive. You play them on spawners, which then automatically generate the described troops and send them into motion. They march along fixed frontlines toward the enemy base and act autonomously. You can’t control them directly - but through selection, combination, and card order, you massively influence the course of the battle.
Unit cards cover various types: infantry, vehicles, and tanks - either individually or combined on one card. Some are tailored for small spawners, others require larger areas. Especially powerful cards generate complex groups with tactical impact but come at a higher cost. Your deck setup determines how efficiently you control your line.
Action Cards
Direct Interventions on the Battlefield
Action cards give you direct influence over the battlefield - whether via missiles, buffs, resource bonuses, or debuffs for the enemy. Some can be used instantly anywhere, while others must be assigned to a spawner (spawner action cards).
Use them to disable enemy towers, boost your own attack waves, or respond precisely to enemy formations. Timing and positioning are crucial: A well-placed missile can eliminate an entire enemy group - or miss completely if mistimed. Action cards enrich your deck with tactical depth and enable countless synergies with your units.
Structures & Towers
Build Economy and Defend - One Card at a Time
Structure cards are the backbone of your economy: They generate credits, produce supply, or convert resources. Depending on the card, they may also synergize with map resources like iron, wood, or others - especially in rare versions. Build slots are limited, so smart planning is key.
Towers, on the other hand, serve defensive purposes. They automatically fire at enemies in range and help stabilize frontlines. Depending on card type, they feature different weapon systems, ranges, and attack patterns. Again, spawner size, rarity, and position determine their effectiveness. Together with units and action cards, they form a dynamic arsenal you can adapt for each map.
